FAQs

Are all vases exactly alike?
No, each piece is unique. Color/size will vary due to NORTH PALM’s hand-crafted and small batch processes. The clay colors will have the most variance as the color is made by hand and each small batch has intentional variances (lighter clay, darker clay, speckled dots, etc.).

Who is behind NORTH PALM?
Founder Sofia Grant has always loved flowers, and over the years, she seemingly collected mismatched vases that took up too much space in her cabinets. When the vases weren’t in use, they were essentially clutter. Sofia wanted vases that she didn’t need to put away — a collection of vases that could double as artful décor even when not holding flowers. She couldn’t find what she was looking for, so Sofia decided to create it… and that’s how NORTH PALM was born. NORTH PALM makes minimalist, hand-carved vases made from non-toxic, premium materials for every home. Our vases are always produced in small batches with extremely limited production. Most importantly, we’ve made it a priority to make our pieces affordable with the hopes that everyone can bring some joy into their homes with NORTH PALM.

What does hand-ribbed, small-batch and limited production mean?
Each piece is hand-carved from top-to-bottom to create our signature hand-ribbed design. We utilize small batch craftsmanship to ensure quality standards. Small batches allow the proper time needed to focus on each hand-carved piece. Limited quantity is important to ensure the exclusivity of our products. No need to worry about missing a drop, we will alert our subscribers via email and social of new releases.

Are your vases dishwasher, food, microwave and oven safe?
Yes!

Can I fill the vase with water?
Yes!

How should I care for my vases?
Pre-wash: Always gently rinse your vase with warm water and soap before use.
Measure: Fill your vase with water until about 3/4 the height of the vase.
Trim: Trim your stems at an angle. We suggest trimming about 1 inch from the bottom.
Maintain: We suggest changing your water every other day to help your blooms last longer.
Clean: Gently hand-wash with warm water, use a soft sponge or bottle brush to wipe any floral remnants inside and pat dry with a lint-free towel. May also be placed in the dishwasher.
Store: We provide a foam padding that you may keep and reuse to protect your vase.

How can I determine the size of the vase?
All our vases have product dimensions. The height means how tall the item stand from a flat surface. The diameter means how wide a vase is on the sides (measured at the largest points). The top neck opening is how large the opening is at the top of the vase.

      Will my vases arrive safely?
Yes! Our gift boxes have been drop test approved - which means we developed our packaging around the realistic conditions encountered during shipment to keep our products safe.

What kind of packaging will my vase have?
Each vase will come in a white box. Typically, styrofoam is the most common form of vase protection. NORTH PALM engineered an environmentally safe alternative. Our foam padding is perfectly molded for each vase. In fact, our foam padding actually absorbs shocks better than traditional styrofoam, and our padding does not crumble nor cause a mess like styrofoam.

      Can I recycle your packaging?
Yes! We suggest you consider reusing our packing, i.e. to store your vase, reuse to ship something else, cut the foam padding to pieces to pad another shipment, etc. If you cannot reuse our packaging, please responsibly recycle.
